I love Heartland and Chestnut Hill with their complexities emotionally and the horsey knowledge that anyone could obtain from them! I know this sounds silly, but I get that response alot (*JOKE*) but I love it when Hooney and Lou have English and American Connections - just like me! Amy's Journel is a collective array of documents that concern Amy's work and family, from maps and newspaper cuttings to traditional recipes and horse advice and experiences. There is information on reading a horse's profile and of books and films that Amy herself enjoys. It is quite interesting, but with the preview chapter at the back and repetition from previews in other books, it makes it quite short and maybe some more diary entries and techniques would be appropriate. There is a great herbal treatment section, with folk and Bach Flower Remedies. My horse might get some calming/soothing treatment applied to him soon!
