Out Of The Darkness is quite a sad book. Gallant Prince, a racehorse, comes to Heartland but has been injured in a fire and Amy is having problems with him. She takes him to Ryan, who looked after Prince before the fire. He doesn't want to think about the past but eventually comes to Heartland. After a few weeks, Prince is cured of his problems and Ryan continues looking after him!
