This was a really great book. Poor Melody--she had to go through so much. But she ended up having such a great foal, since Jack and Lou made up during her birth. When Amy showed Ben that he was a real part of Heartland by getting him to ride Gypsy and she bucked with him, that was great. I was mesmerized from the scene that came into my head. Lou's writing to their father was great, and when they finally came into contact again after two years. But she shouldn't have argued with Jack and keeping it a secret from Amy wasn't a good idea either. An awesome book but more about relationships and people than horses.
