Number 10 in the Heartland Series was really okay. Daniel is a guy who is down on his luck, living pay-check to pay-check and is really talented, too. Well, that's him in the first part of the story, anyway. Daniel eventually gets a job at Greenbriar (ick!) but then, (TG!) he quits and is offered a spot at Nick Halliwell's as a working pupil. So, this book is just where he struggles, meets Amy, and then his horse, Burning Amber. Amber is, sadly, put down. It was really sad! I found myself crying. I totally understood Daniel's emotion! This book was good in the sense that you got captivated and pulled into the plot. It was another score for Lauren Brooke!
