I discovered a few minutes ago (to what is almost horror, I confess) that Heartland is indeed being shown in the UK the first episode is due to air Sunday 4pm on E4 if anyone is interested. In fact, it starts with a double bill. I've no idea if they're showing two eps every week (and I can't be bothered to check), but they are this week.

even though they are different, they are not that bad! to tell you the truth i prefer the tv show compared to laurens special editions. but the first twenty books are better than the tv show. it is interesting though to see how the characters act and relate to each other, they're personalities are similar!

That's fine, plenty of people like it. I don't. To me, they took away some of the best things, like Ty being a good guy, and that just ruined it for me. I've already watched the first ep online too, and found it badly acted which really didn't help the changes at all.

i think they could have made him more exciting without changing his whole character!

I don't find Ty boring in the books, I find him a really nice, decent guy. I like that he's different from so many other guys written. He's not passive, he'll stand up for what he believes is right, but he doesn't get up in everyones faces, he doesn't push for anything. I really love his character. Shows people that not all guys have to be over confident jerks to be good guys lol.

true i like your interpretation. actually when i was rereading the 20th book with the horse fanfare and Ty was pushing Amy and yelling at her cause he thought she was the person to work with the horse and that she was just running away i loved those few pages so much. i thought it was amazing. but i know that was a little off topic soor :S
