heartland dvd season one is being sod in two parts which is stupid and i dont know why but it is!
the first part comes out september 13th i believe in canada, im not sure about anywhere else

haha its not the first though because the french one is out earlier. and it comes out in one part i think...not two! which makes more sense! ther only doing two parts to make more money which is such a rip off...but im still buying them!  haha |

They just put out the first season on DVD, though I think you can get it on Amazon. Don't know about the country availability yet, though.

So they needed to make it so all of NA would buy it. And its not a rip off cuz theyre only 20 each so that only adds up to 40, usually new seasons are 50 and up  |

Actually, if they wanted to release the whole thing together they could, and it would get released later, after the whole season was aired on tv. Selling it in two halves is to get more money. They want people to watch the TV show before paying for the dvds, for the ratings. If they were to release the whole season on dvd before the second half had aired on tv, plenty of people would just buy the dvds and not bother watching it on TV. Not what the networks want.

actually thats not why they split the DVD series. At least thats not what i read. I read on the Official Heartland site that they decided to split the first season because season one of heartland was not aired in the USA however they wanted to sell it there. People who havent seen any heartland episodes or heard anything about the show would not be likely to buy a whole series because it would be expensive but if it was half of a series they would be more likely to try it out and see if they like it, if they do then they would go get the second part. The second season however they said will be sold in one set, which is a good thing in my opinion, i hated waiting a few more months just to get the second part. But thats what i read as to why they split the first season and it does make sense!
