We get from the 18 th of December ( the date changes sometimes). Till february sometime, it ends up being about 2 months off I think, maybe a bit less x

It has something to deal with the tilt of the earth and the distance from the sun.

Actually science is my favorite subject and when we have a homework, I really do in my own. With regards to your question on your homework if the changes in the distance between Earth and the sun important in causing the cycle of seasons, I think it is not. Because the main cause is the Earth's axial tilt. We receive the same amount of solar radiation year-round.
