Lauren Brooke isn't actually a real person. The Heartland and Chestnut Hill books are written by a group of ghost writers. 'Lauren Brooke' is just the name on the front.

No, 'Lauren Brooke' is just the name on the covers, the one the publishers/the group of writers came up with.

I actually thought she was a real person! But a couple of people have done that in the past. Like Erin Hunter, the writer of the warrior cat series.

Her real name is Gill Harvey Wink

There is an interview with 'Lauren Brooke' for the TV series, which states she comes up with the ideas but three others write them. That means 'Lauren Brooke' is a pen name. Not real. Gill Harvey is one of the team of writers. She may be the front person for them, she may not, it's never been totally clear. But 'Lauren Brooke' is just a name on the covers.
