Heart Of Gold is a little bit sad because Honey finds out her brother, Sam has leukemia and Patience has a horse that her dad bought her, called Minnie. She doesn't look after her and Honey spends her free time looking after Minnie. Lani helps Honey get to the hospital to see Sam but Mrs. Herson finds out and Lani comes too. Sam and Lani meet each other and Honey doesn't get in trouble. In the end, Honey tells Dylan and Malory about Sam's condition and they help her. I think this book is about friendship and helping each other if a person needs it.
