This book was very well written. Malory is probably good at keeping secrets to keep the Rockwell Award news away, and she must be a good rider to put up with Tybalt freaking out, and to win the Rockwell Award without competing on the A-level circuit. Malory can really get through to a horse like Tybalt, and that's a plus because Amy from Heartland has a similar skill and I love all the books with her in it. I love how Mal can hold her own and stand up for herself against rich, popular girls. She can always manage to look good despite a very limited clothing budget. She also did an amazing job with Tybalt, making him rideable and such a good jumper in the end, especially considering not having any degree or proper training in horse healing.
